Government: Elected Mayor and four council members (1 President). Elections are every year (1st Tuesday in April) with staggered two-year terms.

Population: 14,130 (2006 Census)

Major Employers: U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground, Frito-Lay, Inc., Pier I Imports Northeast Distribution Facility, Saks Fifth Avenue.

A Look at the Future: The City's long-standing relationship with the U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) has laid the foundation for a strong diverse economy. The largest of the three incorporated municipalities, Aberdeen has recently become the center for a number of manufacturing and distribution facilities - Frito-Lay, Pier I Imports and Saks Fifth Avenue. The greater Aberdeen - Havre de Grace area has recently been designated as an Enterprise Zone.

Government: Council - Manager form of government. Five-member Board of Town Commissioners elected at large. One board member serves as chairperson and is given honorary title of Mayor. The Commission appoints a Town Administrator who acts as the Chief Executive Officer.

Population: 10,039 (2006 Census)

Major Employers: Harford County Government, Harford Mutual Insurance Company, MD State Government, Upper Chesapeake Medical Complex.

A Look at the Future: Strengthening its position as financial and government center. Continued development of regional retail market and growth of community-wide cultural events. Regional development of recreational opportunities. The new 48-acre Rockfield park includes a Creative Playground, Ornamental Theme Gardens, Multi-purpose ball fields, hiking trails and wetlands education areas.

Government: Mayor and six-member City council are elected by voters for two-year terms. To allow annual election of three council members, terms are staggered.

Population: 12,498 (2006 Census)

Major Employers: Cleaning Solutions Group - Sherwin-Williams, J.M. Huber Corporation, Upper Chesapeake Health System.

A Look at the Future: Increased tourist activity and recreational opportunities through the development and implementation of the Lower Susquehanna Heritage Corridor. Economic revitalization of the City through the maximum use of the Enterprise Zone designation by the State of Maryland.
